Stress and Burnout

Work Burnout?

School Burnout?

Executives, entrepreneurs, professionals, athletes, high school students, college students? Yeah, YOU. You are the high achievers, the go-getters, the perfectionists. You hate to disappoint others (or yourself), you fear failure, you worry about the outcome of things and you strive so hard to do everything right.

BUT You just can't do it anymore. You are Exhausted. Beat. Drained.  The insatiable thirst for more is consuming you and you just need to slow down or even stop, but you don't know how.

It doesn't have to be this way. You CAN be a high achiever, have lofty goals and dreams, and be a go-getter. But it doesn't have to come at the expense of your mental health. I can help you re-prioritize, re-group and re-evaluate. Find that elusive work-life balance that everyone seems to be talking about.

If you are a parent reading this, your older teen, especially in their junior/senior years, may be struggling more than you think, There is so much pressure especially during the last 2 years of high school - PSAT results, SAT/ACT, college applications, AP/Honors classes, dual enrollment, sports, What do I with my life? Social media, friends, work, volunteer for Bright Future hours, home responsibilities... WOW. Check in with your kid. Find out how they're doing... and if they are struggling and are asking for support, get them help, please. They may hide it very well, but believe me, if you ask with sincerity, they'll probably just let it all out.

I rely heavily on mindfulness techniques and self reflection in my stress management counseling sessions to help my clients identify their stressors and learn stress management strategies that they can readily employ to help them cope with stress and feelings of burnout.
